National Access Managers (NAMs) are part of a team responsible for the in-country execution of the market access plan for current and new products. The objective of the role is to ensure that people with diabetes have unimpeded access to Insulet's products. This is achieved by working pro-actively with payers and access stakeholders, by influencing policy decisions through localized value communication and by building a positive access environment centered around partnership.
The NAM is expected to develop and execute access plans across the Benelux region and primarily in Belgium and the Netherlands. These will be carried forward in collaboration with other field-based personnel in the territory and align with the short and long term goals of the organization. In addition to their geographic responsibilities, NAMs are part of a market access team covering UK and Benelux. As such, they are expected to contribute to the broader advance of market access strategies and capabilities across the wider region. The successful candidate will be joining a growing team with ambitions to extend its impact and value, corresponding to the advance of Omnipod as one of the world's leading diabetes technologies. The role reports to the Head of Market Access for the UK/Benelux region.
The responsibilities of the role may be thought of in three parts:
The Benelux NAM is responsible for ensuring that funding and access channels to Omnipod products are opened up and/or remain open and that there are no payer or system restrictions preventing availability of the technology in line with national policy and the choices of people with diabetes and their physicians. This will be achieved by developing and sustaining relationships across the payer and advocacy landscapes and by providing and acting on current and insightful market intelligence. Negotiation of access agreements, either directly with payers or with third parties where relevant, is a key part of the role. The NAM will also explore and execute strategies in key accounts that create enhanced access for Omnipod technology, commensurate with its value and market leading potential. Working with other parts of the organization, the role is vital in building partnerships with health system payers and providers that advance access on the basis of the value of both Insulet's products and its service, education, training and other support offerings. The Benelux NAM will work particularly closely with colleagues in medical affairs in order to develop HCP and KOL advocacy in support of achieving access objectives.
As members of the UK/Benelux market access team (which is in turn part of an international team), the NAMs both deliver strategic insight to aid good decision-making and help co-create and shape strategies that advance the market access potential of both Insulet and Omnipod. Such strategies will both respond to challenges in the access environment and identify and project onto opportunities to improve that environment. Such strategies will also align with the future development of Insulet's product portfolio and reach.
NAMs strive for excellence in all aspects of performance and are committed to continuous self-evaluation and development. By being part of the team, they also contribute to the development of capabilities within the UK/Benelux market access function. Insulet recognizes that not every candidate will possess strength in every capability, but the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate both aptitude and achievement in at least some of the following:
Required Skills and Competencies:
Education and Experience:
Physical Requirements:
This is a field-based role. The successful candidate will need to live within the Benelux region and expect to travel frequently throughout it. Occasional travel to Insulet's UK/Benelux head office in West London will be necessary.
