Key Account Manager-Western Us
The primary responsibilities of this role, Key Account Manager-Western Us, are to:
- Provide strategic leadership (Bayer's) with key account Leadership (Owners/Home office/GM, Agronomy Lead, Sales Lead, Precision Lead, Seed Lead, Crop Protection Lead, and Proprietary Brands Lead) that aligns account strategic goals with Bayer strategic goals to create a win/win partnership with the account;
- Work closely with the account to identify business opportunities while utilizing national marketing programs and creative approaches where feasible to capitalize on those opportunities;
- Ensure that strategic direction/tactics flow through the account organization by working closely with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Reps to coordinate agreed upon 'push' and 'pull' strategies and ensure that direction gets down to the accounts regional, division and location levels;
- Collaborate with Regional Account Managers, Area Business Managers, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Operations to ensure win/win partnership is executed;
- Manage & execute Business Plans, CCO's, forecasting, budgets, inventory, and multi-year agreements.
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree;
- Proven success in building effective business relationships across large divisions of organizations;
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, leadership;
- Ability to balance the Bayer and customer needs to achieve mutually beneficial business results;
- A high degree of leadership and collaboration existing between Bayer internal field teams and the account;
- Strong communication & influencing skills to drive execution of the account plans with stakeholders;
- Account management skills that include big picture understanding and creative solutions;
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% to 70%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years relevant experience plus a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 6+ years relevant experience plus a Masters Degree or MBA in related field;
- Direct selling experience;
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $118,941.82 - $178,412.74. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
