Job Purpose:

The primary function of this role is to develop and implement the sales activities of TPU business in South China so as to realize the mid and long-term growth objectives of the TPU business in China and also in line with the strategy of global Elastomer.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure business activities are in full compliance with Company policy, EHS standards and local regulations.
  • Deliver agreed sales targets (volume and CM) for designated segments & products, increase Huntsman market share in target market segments and territories.
  • Actively probe and identify new business opportunities and penetrate into new markets/customers
  • Make price calls according to company pricing policy and limits of authority.
  • Propose and execute sales forecast and accounts plan.
  • Conduct regular customer visit, manage key accounts & distributors, responsible for customer relationship and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with peers in other regions to maintain & development business in global accounts.
  • Coordinate with Technical Service team to provide technical support to customers, resolve application problems and customer complaints in order to assist in customer's product development and suggest use of Huntsman's products in order to increase sales.
  • Take control of account receivable, debtors and achieve zero bad debts.
  • Responsible for Product Stewardship delivery to customers
  • Bring understanding of market needs, collect and analyze competitive information, establish account database for assigned markets and industries
  • Work together with Technical Development team to commercialize new products

Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed:

Education: Bachelor or higher degree in Chemistry, Polymer or Material Science.

Experience: More than 5 years sales & marketing experience in plastic & elastomer industries

Skills: Negotiation skills, basic marketing & trading knowledge, MS office functionalities, good communication skill in both Mandarin & English
