Groups, Meetings & Events (Gm&e) Sales Coordinator

Hilton Stockholm Slussen is recruiting for a Groups, Meetings & Events (GM&E) Sales Coordinator to join our team at the hotel. You will join an international organization with the possibility of an international career. Hilton is a global leading hotel company with over 9000 hotels in more than 100 countries. Hilton Stockholm Slussen is located with a view over the old town. In addition to the 289 guest rooms and large meeting & event facilities, we operate a bar and a restaurant.

As a GM&E sales coordinator, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the area of group reservations, conference and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversations. The GM&E Sales Coordinator will interact frequently with guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business, as well as detailed event planning.

  • Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue.
  • Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the team.
  • Manage an events schedule to maximize yield.
  • Knowledge of different group segments (CMTG/SMRF/CONV/GT).
  • Knowledge in Delphi FDC and OPERA hotel system.
  • Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs.
  • Execute high level of customer service.
  • Ensure good communication and relations with other departments of the hotel to exceed guest expectations.
  • Arrange and carry out hotel show rounds. Strive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events.
  • Participate in hotel promotional activities.
  • Control of invoices, payment and commission.

Qualifications – What are we looking for:

  • Someone who individually seeks interest in projects like RAW, RAW Christmas, New Year's Eve, WOW-site inspections, sales activities etc.
  • Minimum 1+ years' work experience within GM&E booking department or similar booking/sales role.
  • A university or similar post-secondary education degree in hotel management, sales & marketing or similar applicable degree.

Other requirements for the role:

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both speech and writing.
  • Proven good ability to structure, prioritize, communicate and follow up and has high integrity.
  • A person with a natural ability to make connections, maintain relationships and act as an ambassador to our hotel and our brand.
  • To always work in line with Hilton values.

Other information:

  • Working hours are mainly Monday – Friday. Full time contract with 6 months' probation period.
