Digital Technical Operations Specialist

The H-E-B Creative Studio produces photography and video assets that support campaigns across digital, retail media, in-store, and editorial channels. The In-Studio Digital Technical Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that studio-created assets are captured accurately, organized consistently, and prepared for discovery and reuse across the marketing organization. This role combines on-set technical support, post-capture asset organization, and studio workflow ownership. The Digital Technical Operations Specialist ensures that photography, video footage, and working files produced by the studio are structured, tagged, and production-ready before they move downstream to post-production, asset management, or broader marketing teams.

As a key technical partner within the studio, this role supports photographers, videographers, producers, and creative teams by maintaining reliable capture workflows, enforcing studio standards, and improving the efficiency and consistency of how studio assets are handled. We are looking for: A technically skilled studio partner with experience supporting photography and video production Someone comfortable working on set and in post-capture workflows A detail-oriented problem solver who values structure, consistency, and clean handoffs A collaborative presence who supports creative teams without slowing production Someone who thrives owning systems, standards, and technical workflows.

What is the work? Studio Capture and On-Set Technical Support: Support studio and location shoots by managing tethered photography capture and assisting with video data workflows Set up and maintain stable capture sessions using tools such as Capture One and camera media systems Apply basic image adjustments to support accurate review during shoots Monitor capture sessions to ensure files are complete, accurate, and aligned with approved shot plans Asset Ingestion and Organization: Ingest studio-created photography, video footage, and working files into designated MAM and DAM systems Apply studio-defined folder structures, naming conventions, and metadata standards Ensure assets meet technical requirements including resolution, color space, file type, and completeness Prepare assets for handoff to retouching, editing, or broader marketing teams Studio Metadata and Infrastructure Ownership: Own studio-specific metadata standards for photography and video assets Ensure studio assets are consistently tagged and discoverable within enterprise systems Partner with studio leadership to define and maintain ingestion and organization standards Serve as the studio technical point of contact for alignment with MAM and DAM platforms Workflow Optimization and Documentation: Document studio workflows related to capture, ingestion, and asset preparation Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual errors Support continuous improvement of studio technical operations as volume and complexity increase

What is your background? 4 or more years of experience in digital technician, studio operations, or technical production roles Strong working knowledge of photography and video capture workflows Experience with Capture One and familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Photoshop, and Lightroom Understanding of metadata, file structures, and asset organization best practices Experience working with MAM or DAM systems in a studio or agency environment Comfortable supporting both studio and on-location productions Proven ability to support live capture and manage technical workflows in production environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Calm and dependable on-set presence Ability to anticipate issues and solve them proactively Understanding of how technical decisions impact speed, quality, and reuse Openness to feedback and continuous improvement An ownership mindset with a team-first approach Can you… Thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume creative environment?
