Location: Home Office, IT

Contract Type: Temporary Full-Time

Area: Sales/Sales Operations

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our commercial team on a temporary full-time basis to support the constant growth of our Hematology Business Unit in replacement of maternity leave.

We are a pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company based in Spain. Founded in 1940, we specialize in the production of blood-derived products, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic solutions for the healthcare sector. Our main focus is the fractionation of plasma to create medications used in the treatment of rare diseases, coagulation disorders, and immunodeficiencies.

Grifols is a leader in the field of blood-derived products, committed to researching new drugs and therapies. We also strive to support communities, promote plasma donation, and improve access to medical treatments worldwide.

The role we are seeking involves working within the Hematology Business Unit to develop Grifols' product portfolio in the field of hematology, immunology, and the therapeutic care market for thrombocytopenias, congenital bleeding disorders, and hematological diseases of viral origin, with territorial responsibility for the regions of Campania and Molise.

In this role:

  • You will be responsible for promoting the drugs within the Business Unit portfolio for your area of expertise.
  • You will facilitate the development of specific knowledge and skills of Healthcare Providers on blood-derived and non-blood-derived products, especially involving Hematologists, Oncohematologists, and Immunologists in a dialogue based on clinical evidence and profiles of product efficacy/safety.
  • You will understand the needs of your interlocutors and develop targeted solutions to meet those needs.
  • You will develop market knowledge, providing an analysis in the assigned territory and proposing specific solutions aimed at market development in your area of expertise.
  • You will build and develop a distinctive network of relationships both with clinical opinion leaders in the hematologic and immunologic fields, identifying specialists to be involved in different territorial activities, and with stakeholders involved in the hospital drug procurement chain (pharmacists, procurers, hospital and regional purchase managers and tenders).
  • You will verify the monthly sales performance in the relevant area, delving into any deviations from the forecast data, identifying the causes, and proposing solutions to overcome them.
  • You will provide a clear and timely market analysis for the assigned territory.
  • Based on the company's strategic development plan, you will develop and implement an operational action plan to achieve the commercial objectives assigned by the Management.
  • You will actively participate in periodic meetings on sales and scientific topics and actively participate in planned training and development initiatives.
  • Regular travel within the area of expertise (meetings, congresses, etc.) is required for this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific disciplines in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 219/06.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the complex sale of hospital-use drugs: experience both in the field of medical scientific information to hospital doctors (as a product specialist) and in the field of managing stakeholders involved in the hospital drug procurement chain (pharmacists, procurers, hospital and regional purchase managers and tenders) as a KAM.
  • Computing skills (Microsoft Office package).
  • Provenance from the field of hematology, immunology, or the field of rare diseases will be positively evaluated and considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of the English language will be considered a plus.
  • Availability to make frequent trips within the area of expertise, as well as to travel in Italy and abroad to represent the company at national and international congresses.
