Key Accounts Manager In The Pet Industry

GPAC working with a client who manufactures premium pet food, treats, and products, rooted in a rich family tradition of excellence that has been passed down through generations. They're looking for a passionate Key Accounts Manager to join their team and build relationships with national and regional retailers and distributors within the pet industry.

This position is based on-site in the Atlanta (Marietta area), GA area.

As the Key Accounts Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing major accounts that contribute significantly to the company's sales, ensuring long-lasting, valuable relationships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing national and regional retailers, as well as distributors in the pet category.
  • Serve as the point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and sales goals are achieved.
  • Leverage trends and data to inform strategy and drive growth within the accounts you manage.
  • Travel regularly (daily or weekly) and spend a significant amount of time on the road.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the pet specialty industry.
  • Strong ability to analyze trends and data to support sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and manage time on the road.
  • Unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than three violations in the past two years and no more than one at-fault accident in the past three years).
  • Ability to commute to the office.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
