Commercial Lines Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced account manager to handle commercial accounts to join a local agency with over 40 years providing tailored solutions and top tier client services in risk management. Overview of role:
- Processes certificates of insurance (COI), binders, evidences, auto ID cards, applications, renewal requests, endorsements, premium finance agreements, and claim data.
- Responsible for initial input of account, contact, and policy details into EPIC.
- Follow up with carriers on status and receipt of all policies, endorsements, and cancellations. Coordinates resolution of pending issues.
- Performs online carrier ratings.
- Secure loss runs, experience modification worksheets, and MVRs, FR-19's; orders and follows up on loss runs when requested.
- Prepares proposals, analysis and summaries as needed.
- Manages billing inquiries and cancellation notices.
- Manages assigned accounts; analyzes accounts for adequacy and appropriate coverage. Prepares final proposal presentation, analysis and summaries as needed.
- Reviews endorsements for completion and accuracy.
- Markets the account and reviews marketing placements.
- Initiates and follows up on renewal applications.
- Identifies cross/up selling opportunities. Expands and rounds out existing accounts by identifying potential gaps in coverage, recommending and implementing proper coverage.
- Responsible for making sure that all the terms and conditions of the insurance policies are properly prepared.
- Tracks claims, flags claim-heavy accounts and incorrectly written accounts.
- Responsible for agency billing according to service standard.
Minimum Qualifications:
- P&C License
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience managing large commercial accounts
- AMS360 proficiency
- Broad experience with generalist commercial books, including manufacturing, contracting, service, real estate, and professional industries
