This position is with MBI located in Rankin County, MS. This is advanced vocational public safety support work. An employee mentors and/or supervises lower-level criminal records technicians. Work also involves conducting a detailed research and analysis of criminal history and confidential information; requesting and receiving classified data; compiling, analyzing, and disseminating information to appropriate personnel and/or subordinates; maintaining a thorough knowledge of operations within the Department of Public Safety; maintaining considerable knowledge in theory and practice of office procedures; analyzing administrative problems; and exercising a high degree of independent judgment in the interpretation, application, and enforcement of statutes, rules, regulations, and policies.
