This position requires 24 hours a day, 7 days per week availability during City of Port St Lucie emergencies, as determined by City Administrators, Emergency Manager or City Officials. Works in concert with Capital Engineering Division engineers, project managers, and inspectors to coordinate on the delivery of Capital projects in design, construction, studies and assessments, etc. The nature of the work may include technical work such as the review of engineering plans, specifications, daily progress reports, and invoices, as well as field work such as verification of GIS maps, surveys, and construction activities. Other related tasks may be added to facilitate the smooth running of the Division. And as with all USD employees, this position will help facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is required. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of construction required; utility construction preferred. A minimum of six (6) months of electronic plan review and markup experience preferred. A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
