Vocational Rehabilitation Department Position

In this position you will be responsible for the following:

  • Troubleshooting problems with IT equipment and making selected repairs at location of equipment.
  • Assembling and installing personal computer, servers, storage devices, printers and networking equipment at various locations.
  • Performing inventory actions for IT equipment such as departmental transfers, updates to IT equipment documentation, maintains warehouse storage and spare supplies in IT vehicles.
  • Communicate with vendors about return, exchange or repair of faulty IT equipment.
  • Preparing and stringing customer made cables to networked IT equipment at various locations.
  • Other duties as assigned by IT Managers.

Minimum and additional requirements include:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or Electronics Technology; may substitute High School Diploma/GED with two years of experience in information technology for the Associate's degree.
  • Ability or work experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing information technology hardware including servers, desktop and laptop computers, printers, storage area networks, network switches & wireless devices.
  • Must be able to install drivers for various hardware devices.
  • Must be able to install network cables through ceiling, walls and crawl spaces.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server software & operating systems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis and travel statewide on daily basis.

If invited to interview, please obtain your Official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you. Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
