Project Coordinator
The Loudoun County Department of General Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Project Coordinator vacancy in our Facility Maintenance Capital Asset Preservation Program (CAPP) Division. This newly created position will provide project management support for replacing essential building systems such as heating, air conditioning, safety systems, security infrastructure, roofing, and modernizing elevators in County-owned buildings. This position will also evaluate building systems for proper prioritization in the CAPP life cycle replacement five year plans addressing larger-scale maintenance that is not addressed under routine maintenance. This ensures that the replacements of major systems are systematic, funded and properly scheduled to avoid downtime and operational interruptions.

Associates degree with coursework in areas such as Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; three (3) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The following are PREFERRED qualifications:
Successful candidate will undergo pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV record background checks, to include CJIS fingerprinting. Valid driver's license and good driving record are required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Must be able to inspect existing facilities and active construction projects; will be exposed to inclement weather while in the field; will be exposed to hazardous conditions associated with construction sites and activities. Must be available for duty beyond the normal workday; must be available 24/7 when required to respond to County emergencies. This position is considered "essential."
