Under close supervision, performs routine and less complex tasks and duties assigned to classes within the Customer Service series including general clerical and record keeping duties, dealing with customers at the front counter or by phone, and starting services for new customers; learns policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; performs related duties as required.
Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Customer Service Representative. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of one (1) year of general office experience in a financial or record keeping setting, preferably including experience in public contact, automated office systems, and customer accounts; possession of a High School diploma or GED.
