Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority (ACWWA) is currently hiring for two Business Support Technician positions.
ACWWA (pronounced "Aqua") provides essential drinking water and wastewater services to residents and businesses within its service area, which includes approximately 3,500 accounts located primarily in Arapahoe County and northern Douglas County.
In this role, you will provide a variety of administrative and operational support services, helping to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and excellent customer service. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports critical public infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Technical and administrative support for ACWWA staff, programs, projects and initiatives.
- Developing, maintaining or managing spreadsheets and data
- Communicating with stakeholders and customers via email, phone and other channels
- Filing and processing documents
- Scheduling meetings, training, events and taking meeting minutes as needed
- Assisting with coordination and organization of events and training.
- Reviewing documents and materials for content, accuracy and grammar
- Writing and developing memo's, newsletters, and related materials
- Provide back-up support to other departments and staff as needed.
- Providing general administrative support as needed
- Ability to learn applications and computer systems to generate reports and conduct research.
- Coordinate with customer service to support system tours
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to:
- Work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload effectively
- Operate a variety of office and computer equipment efficiently and accurately.
- Under general supervision, identify issues, conduct research, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop sound conclusions and recommendations on complex management and administrative issues.
- Understand, interpret, explain and apply Authority policies and procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Prioritize and organize your own work, meet critical deadlines, and coordinate activities with other Authority departments to ensure completion of the work.
- Demonstrate positive attitude, initiative and accountability to complete tasks accurately and on time
- Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive correspondence, reports, studies, and other written materials.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of Authority management and staff.
- To handle sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism.
- Learn and utilize applications and computer systems to generate reports and conduct research
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum requirement two (2) to four (4) years of increasingly responsible office Business Support/Administrative experience.
- Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PDF Writer).
- Intermediate understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Standard office administrative practices and procedures.
Hiring Range:
- Business Technician 1- $22.65- $27.18
- Business Technician 2- $25.65- $30.77
Actual compensation will be dependent upon experience and education.
