Project Manager For Robotic Systems Deployment

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to coordinate, support and eventually lead the deployment of robotic systems in our manufacturing facilities. This role is critical in identifying, evaluating, and implementing robotization opportunities aligned with our strategic growth and capacity expansion objectives, particularly in low-volume, high-mix production environments. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to build strong business cases, support to deploy end-to-end project execution, and to ensure timely delivery of robotic solutions that improve capacity, productivity, and quality with potential scalability.

Project Management & Execution

  • Coordinate or lead the planning, execution, and delivery of robotic deployment projects from concept to commissioning with the factories team & the integrator
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in alignment with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, safety) and external vendors/integrators.
  • Manage project risks, change controls, and resource constraints to ensure successful deployment.

Business Case Development

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify automation/robotization opportunities.
  • Define ROI, payback period, and performance KPIs for proposed robotic investments.
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases to Business Line leadership and robotics & automation council to support capital investment decisions

Technical Support & Oversight

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate technical feasibility and integration of robotic systems.
  • Oversee system acceptance testing (FAT, SAT) and post-installation performance validation.
  • Ensure solutions comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and internal quality requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Strategy

  • Support the development of roadmaps for future robotic initiatives in the factories and the scalability of some running projects.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend enhancements for long-term competitiveness.
  • Support internal capability building and knowledge transfer across sites.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics) or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in robotics implementation, automation, or manufacturing project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering robotic/automation projects in factory environments.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-mix production settings and scaling capacity through automation.

Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Specific knowledge:

  • Competent in project management and associated tools
  • Strong understanding of robotic systems (collaborative robots, industrial arms, AGVs, sensors, actuators & related hardware).
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and digital transformation tools.
  • SAP, IoT (Internet of Things) knowledge and experience would be a plus
