Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Smyrna, Georgia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing customer interactions, ensuring smooth order processing, and delivering exceptional service. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to support our operations effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Perform precise technical data entry to maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with customers and sales teams to ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complete.
  • Utilize internal databases for tracking orders and addressing customer requests or modifications.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally and document interactions in the system.
  • Collaborate with field service teams to address and resolve long-term service challenges.
  • Handle incoming calls regarding order status with clarity and professionalism.
  • Support accounts receivable processes by verifying billing accuracy and following up on collections.
  • Prepare regular and specialized reports related to management or quality metrics.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in customer service, order management, or administrative roles, preferably in industries such as home improvement, building materials, furniture, or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable managing numerical data and creating reports.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and follow through on tasks.
