Lead CNC Technical Specialist

The Lead CNC Technical Specialist serves as the key link between the Digital Machining Solutions team and GE Aerospace shop end-users. They focus on providing hands-on shop floor support, offering technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize CNC machine operations, and maintaining clear documentation to ensure consistent processes. This role also involves conducting site visits to assess machine performance, address user challenges, and share best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as technical expert for diagnosing and resolving complex CNC system issues
  • Adjust PLCs to fix functionality issues or enhance machine performance
  • Assist shops with new machine runoffs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems with maintenance teams
  • Support machine connectivity
  • Creating "How to" documents
  • Coordinate several concurrent projects
  • Approximately 10-25% travel

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (CNC programming, applications, commissioning, and troubleshooting.) experience + minimum of 3 years (CNC programming, applications, commissioning, and troubleshooting) experience

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in CNC programming, applications, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Multi-axis CNC setup & calibration
  • Developed procedural documentation
  • Okuma, Siemens and FANUC experience
  • Familiarity with on-machine probing macros

The base pay range for this position is $98,300-131,00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 1, 2025.
