IT Field Technician Opportunity

At Five Rivers IT, we build and service reliable IT infrastructures for midsized businesses. We are in search for an IT Field Technician to join the dynamic team of professionals providing world class IT services to its clients in the NYC metro area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with a proven track record to develop, implement, and support various initiatives in the area of IT Support. Work location is 600 Old Country Rd, Garden City, NY 11530, 4 days on site required one day remote and candidates need to have their own car or easy commute within 45 minutes using public transportation. Occasional client visits to Manhattan when needed.

Responsibilities

• Attending customer support requests via phone, email or in person.
• Performing server and network troubleshooting remotely and on site
• Doing application deployments
• Following change control process
• Managing servers and network equipment
• Documenting and following procedures
• Working on projects and tasks assigned in a timely manner
• Being available for emergencies and scheduled tasks during off business hours
• Being available for off hours on-call rotation.
• On-site visits to client site as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Positive and professional demeanor
