FIS Management Services, LLC seeks System Support Analyst Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to be responsible for maintaining and managing the FIS Product-CARDBASE. Monitor system performance, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure the proper functioning of mainframe applications and databases. Analyze system logs, identify root causes of incidents, and document system configurations, processes, and procedures. Monitor the performance of services to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs. Ensure system security and integrity and provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems raised by end users. Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to optimize product performance. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Lead IT support group activities and provides analytical and technical assistance to the support team. Identify complex problems and develop, evaluate, and implement solutions. Develop and design effective system-generated reports. Coordinate and prioritize requests/tickets among team members. Provide recommendations for enhancements to department processes and procedures. Participate in all phases of product development to ensure a smooth transition into production for the users, clients, and support personnel. Coach and/or mentor junior System Support Analysts and support staff.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: working with IBM Mainframes including Cobol, JCL, VSAM and Database; enhancing the existing mainframe applications coded for Online and Batch processing; utilizing technical expertise to integrate mainframe services with other products via API calls for system reliability and accessibility; enhancing and implementing multiple changes using COBOL language to the transaction processing system; coding JCL's for transmitting data to various downstream systems; creating and enhancing JCL and VSAM jobs to execute the Cobol modules and updating the standalone jobs used on reporting; utilizing flat files and coding VSAM datasets; enhancing and archiving the VSAM Clusters, GDG's for mainframe applications for optimal mainframe storage and reuse; creating ad-hoc jobs to address customer issues; analyzing IMS system logs; identifying e-root causes of incidents and developed strategic solutions utilizing COBOL - IMS languages; unloading and loading data from Higher environments to lower environments through IMS modules; loading and unloading data on DB2 tables; enhancing the COBOL-DB2 Online and batch programs based on customer issues; executing SQL queries using SPUFI; and working with REXX to develop in-house tools for automating everyday activities.
