Eurofins Maritime Services is a Business Unit within Eurofins that focuses on the global maritime sector. Our customers are internationally operating maritime consultants, ship managers, suppliers of maritime installations, cruise and ferry companies, and individual shipowners and owners. We have a unique service portfolio, mainly consisting of our worldwide water testing capacities supplemented with our years of knowledge and experience in the field of "Hazardous Materials". Eurofins Maritime Services is currently growing strongly, within the next three years we want to more than double in size.

Function Description

As an Account Manager Maritime Services, you will be responsible for expanding our customer base in the maritime sector by providing our customers with laboratory services. You will work closely with the other Account Managers, Business Developers, and Operations colleagues within the Maritime Services Team, as well as the other colleagues within Eurofins worldwide. You translate the needs of the customers into appropriate solutions, and participate in the onboarding process of a new client and/or service. You ensure that we can welcome new customers, but also take care of the maintenance and retention of our current customers. In short: You play a key role in the further growth of Eurofins Maritime Services.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Proactively approaching new customers and maintaining relationships with existing customers within the global maritime sector.
• Identifying customer needs and advising on the most suitable laboratory tests and services.
• Drafting and presenting commercial offers and contracts.
• Achieving commercial targets and reporting progress to management.
• Following trends and developments in the maritime industry and responding to market needs.
• Representing Eurofins Maritime Services at trade fairs and events worldwide.

Function Requirements

• Completed higher professional education, preferably in commerce, chemistry, or engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience.
• Proven success in acquiring new business and maintaining existing accounts.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
• Entrepreneurial with a strong analytical ability.
• Results-oriented, strong communicator, and persuasive.
• Creative, pragmatic, and energetic with a healthy dose of guts.
