Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will assist with multiple moderate to high complexity projects (~ 10 core team members, project cost $0.5M to $10M, multi-site) in support of critical business objectives. The role will support both the Program Manager and affiliated Project Managers to effectively executing multiple related R&D and manufacturing initiatives for our digital orthodontics business. Coordinates major non-technical development and operations projects, including design, scheduling, resource management and costing. Coordinates and/or lead cross functional non-technical teams to achieve project goals in support of the company's goals and annual operating plan. Tracks, communicates and reports on the issues and status updates for projects. This position is full-time and required to be on-site five days a week.

Job Requirements:

  • Support CapEx projects in all facets from early approval to final PO payment processing
  • Assist in cost reduction initiatives – verifying implementation results
  • Generate equipment requisitions and follow-up to final PO approval
  • Update PO Tracker by supplier and as required generate reports
  • Review and approve vendor invoices while updating big ticket PO's
  • Maintain Spark asset database tracking SN details across three manufacturing sites
  • Monthly reconcile actual spend detail against projected spend plan
  • Follow-up & resolve late payment inquiries from vendors
  • Assist in daily management of equipment transfers, etc.
  • Track project deliverables against targeted project dates – IQ reports, ECO's, etc.
  • Oversee special projects as required – support PMO team
  • Participate and support weekly VPM status meetings capturing action items, etc.
  • Conduct time studies and standard work for all new projects for Pilot cell in Pomona to support global business.
  • Any duties or tasks assigned by your Manager.

  • Ability to type at least 40WPM.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, standard work, and correspondence.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 2+ years' experience of related work experience in medical device and/or other regulated industries.
  • Or high school diploma and 5+ years of related work experience in medical device and/or other regulated industries.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems – iBuy, Oracle, Master Control, etc.
  • Experience in deploying processes, tools and templates
