The Vice President, Planning and Customer Experience is responsible for leading the Integrated System Planning, Customer and Stakeholder Relations, Contacts and Land Management and Business Performance and Reporting portfolios. This role is critical in establishing and executing business and strategic objectives, that ensure the reliability and adequacy of ENMAX Power's transmission and distribution systems through long-term planning. The incumbent oversees the development of ENMAX Power's long-term capital, system and operating plans and monitors financial and operational performance.
This role will be instrumental in supporting the financial and operating viability of ENMAX's regulated wires business by ensuring alignment with regulatory strategy and the delivery of a $400 million annual capital program. This Vice President also leads customer experience initiatives, in becoming a trusted advisor to our customer, and developing long-term relationship development with key accounts. Stakeholder engagement is focused on regulatory compliance particularly related to AUC Rule 007 for transmission projects.
Major responsibilities:
- Lead the portfolio to support ENMAX Power business and strategic objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the development and execution of transmission and distribution system plans that ensure long-term reliability and timely customer interconnections.
- Provide strategic oversight of ENMAX Power's regulatory strategy in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support governance and performance management functions that enable effective oversight of the $400M annual capital program, ensuring delivery by the Project Delivery team.
- Develop and implement customer experience strategies that improve Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores, reduce escalations, and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
- Represent ENMAX Power externally with customers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, with a focus on compliance with AUC Rule 007 for public notification, personal consultation and engagement with members of public for transmission projects.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insights to support decision-making, including Monthly Performance Reports, Board Reports, and CEO updates.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members in alignment with ENMAX's values, leadership framework and talent development programs.
Education required:
- Relevant University degree (Business, Economics, Engineering, Law).
- Graduate degree (MBA) preferred.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 20 years of broad experience with a demonstrated track record of results in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience as an influential and respected people leader with a demonstrated ability to create a high-performance environment, empowering teams to identify and solve problems and hold teams accountable for achieving collective goals.
- Extensive experience leading strategic functions that support the corporation's vision, mission and values.
- Understanding and experience in the regulated Alberta electricity industry preferred.

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
