eBay Japan Account Management, Cross-Border E-Commerce

Following our significant GMV growth over the past four years, we are expanding our team with individuals who excel in account management, are fluent in Japanese and possess strong business communication skills in English. Position Summary:

As a Cross-Border E-Commerce Account Management, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the success of Japanese sellers in the global marketplace. This role requires native-level Japanese proficiency for effective communication and business interactions with Japanese clients, alongside business-level English for global communications within eBay's network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture Japanese seller accounts on eBay's global platforms, using your native-level Japanese and business-level English skills.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with sellers, providing tailored support and guidance to optimize their performance.
  • Stay informed about the latest e-commerce trends to offer insightful and strategic advice to sellers.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, ensuring comprehensive support for sellers aligned with eBay Japan K.K.'s strategic objectives.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for sellers, effectively addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Lead the planning and execution of campaigns and other related initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency and business-level English skills.
  • Experience in e-commerce is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Agile and adaptable, capable of managing multiple accounts effectively.
  • A team player, committed to supporting the growth and success of Japanese sellers in the international e-commerce landscape.

Please note the followings when applying for eBay Japan's positions:

  • We implement hybrid work: Employees are expected to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote a week. For those who have preschool children could work 2 days onsite and 3 days remote a week under a condition. Full remote work option is not available.
  • We implement staggered time where employees can vary their start and end times between 7:00 – 10:00 AM and 16:00 – 19:00 respectively.
  • Relocation would be needed at the candidate's expense if the s/he lives afar from our office in Tokyo.
  • Foreign nationals must already have the work visa/status at time of application.
  • Must take background check before joining eBay Japan.
  • The compensation will be custom-determined based on the individual's experience.
