What you’ll do as a Customer Account Representative:
- Manage assigned customer accounts and serve as their primary point of contact
- Enter and review customer orders, validate pricing, and resolve discrepancies with Sales
- Proactively communicate order updates, delays, and shipping changes
- Recommend product alternatives and help configure truckloads for shipping efficiency
- Maintain customer data, order history, and documentation in Business Central, CRM, or portals
- Support quoting, price validation, and CRM opportunity tracking
- Process returns, credits, and certification requests accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Sales, Traffic, Yard, and Operations teams to align on fulfillment and delivery
- Monitor backorders and shipping dates, ensuring timely resolution
- Prepare customer insights and reporting to support account management
- Act as backup for scheduling and customer service calls when needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain safety awareness
What you need to be a Customer Account Representative:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
- 4–6 years of experience in customer service, order fulfillment, or sales support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and CRM tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with logistics, scheduling, or yard operations is a plus
