Are you ready to be the backbone of our dynamic sales team? Be a key partner in driving sales success! As a Sales Coordinator within our Seafood Portfolio Group, you'll support the full sales cycle by assisting Sales Managers and the sales team in day-to-day activities and customer inquiries. You'll ensure timely follow-up and accurate information flow, help optimize exhibitor placement and floor plan strategies, and collaborate on sales initiatives and special projects that maximize revenue opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Cycle Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance throughout the sales cycle, including processing sales orders, managing contracts, updating orders, maintaining team inboxes, forwarding leads, generating reports, and scheduling meetings.
  • Team Collaboration & Goal Achievement: Offer continuous support to the seafood sales team to help achieve and exceed overall sales goals, while collaborating with other coordinators to streamline processes and improve communication.
  • Floor Placement & Exhibitor Programs: Assist the Sales Manager with booth assignments and floor placement tasks, and coordinate special projects such as the first-time exhibitor program to enhance the exhibitor experience.
  • Data Accuracy & Collections Monitoring: Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of records and support sales managers in monitoring outstanding collections for timely payments.
  • Meeting Room & On-Site Materials Management: Manage exhibitor meeting room assignments based on requirements and work with sales and marketing teams to order, produce, and track on-site sales materials.
  • Pipeline Development: Partner with the Sales Manager during the off-season to identify prospects, support lead generation, and strengthen the sales pipeline.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of sales support, customer service, or related experience required.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Prior Salesforce experience is a plus; willingness to learn additional platforms such as Salesforce and A2Z for tracking sales, pulling reports, and managing account details.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills for both office interactions and onsite support at seafood trade events.
  • Proactive and Organized: Self-starter with the ability to anticipate team needs, multitask, and prioritize a high volume of inquiries and projects during peak periods. Strong aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity and organization. Flexibility to adapt as our product portfolio evolves.
  • Positive Team Player: Must be a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to handle administrative tasks as needed.

Location: We're on the lookout for someone who lives within a commutable distance because this position will be based in our Portland, ME office.

Travel: 2-3 times annually, including international travel.
