The Sales Specialist is responsible for meeting agreed sales and revenue targets. The Sales Specialist will use detailed client / product knowledge, market knowledge and client relationships to generate sales opportunities and work to meet client satisfaction expectations. The Sales Specialist will acquire and maintain deep knowledge about the allocated client / product by way of research and ongoing contact enabling idea generation of fitting sales solutions. The Sales Specialist will be conversant relevant legal, regulatory and Bank policy requirements and operate accordingly. Close liaison with existing clients and working to secure relationships with new client opportunities. Working relationships with origination, trading, research, client services, and operations staff – if applicable & to the degree that is commensurate with the business area - to ensure effective end to end client / product delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business with new and existing Italian clients based in Italy and abroad, building and sustaining long-term relationships on the International Private Banking and all internal counterparties, like Private Capital Markets desks, Discretionary Portfolio Desk and Direct Advisory Desk.
- Advise clients within the required regulatory framework (especially cross border rules within Italy and Luxembourg) and keep abreast of all client-impacting initiatives from the respective market.
- Proactively identify client lending/financing needs, involving lending specialists to further develop the opportunity to completion.
- Act as the Accountable Client Owner with responsibility for all Anti-Money Laundering aspects of the client relationship; include Know Your Client in good quality and in a timely manner as well as account behavior.
- Own the overall suitability and appropriateness for client investments where clients are not assigned an Investment Manager; take client execution orders where required and ensure that all corresponding checks are performed.
Skills:
- Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification
- Experience in client services within Private Client Wealth Management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluent Italian speaker
