The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management.

We are seeking a VP, Central Technical Services to own the strategy, delivery, and performance of our customer-facing IT services and infrastructure that underpin our building technology solutions. This role has two core mandates:

1. Digital Service Center Technology Program - technical product management, engineering, and cybersecurity for our common, shared digital services that connect customer facilities to our managed offerings.

2. Infrastructure Delivery Team - design, deployment, and lifecycle support of customer-specific IT infrastructure (non-common, non-shared) that support building technology subsystems.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading teams of technical analysts and engineers and working closely with operations, software, sales, and customer stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable platforms that enable Managed Connectivity and Digital Service & Operations offerings.

2. Establishing and enforcing standards for technical design, documentation quality, and architecture consistency across all customer-specific infrastructure deployments.

3. Overseeing delivery of enterprise-grade infrastructure, including network (LAN/WAN/VPN), server, and storage platforms.

4. Guiding the team in architecture and implementation of application layers for subsystems and supporting services such as databases.

5. Building, leading, and developing high-performing teams of technical analysts, engineers, and architects.

6. Defining and owning standards, reference architectures, and technical design patterns for Managed Connectivity, Digital Service & Operations platforms, and customer-specific infrastructure supporting building systems.

7. Acting as a senior technical leader and point of escalation for key customers.

Supervisor duties include planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Professional competencies include strategic & systems thinking, execution & delivery, security & risk mindset, customer orientation, and leadership.

Required qualifications include 10+ years in IT infrastructure / systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role, proven experience delivering enterprise network, server, storage, and virtualization solutions, strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure design for connected facilities / OT environments, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience in building technology, physical security, or OT, certifications such as network/security certifications, ITIL or similar service management frameworks, experience leading managed services or 24x7 operational environments, and background in productizing technical services.

Physical demands include effectively communicating and manual dexterity for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment.

Working conditions include a clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated office with low to moderate noise levels.

Compensation is $135,000 - $169,000 (DOE). Working hours are generally Monday-Friday, with overtime and on call when necessary.
