At Edelman, we are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join the passionate and dynamic Edelman Brand team to work on some of the industry's most coveted clients. While there is no "typical day" at Edelman, you will be exposed to a variety of disciplines within the company and be involved in several large, integrated client projects. You'll:

  • Play a major role in creation of communications plans and goals for leading brands
  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence.
  • Drive media relations including creating and leading outreach plans, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarisation trips, effective pitching and training of spokespersons and growth of contact network
  • Serve as daily client contact addressing client issues thoughtfully and effectively
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both earned and social media outreach plans
  • Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
  • Work closely with Account Managers to oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
  • Assist junior staff by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
  • Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content.

About You:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in consumer and/or consumer health, communications, marketing or digital roles.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
  • Be a media relations expert or be keen to develop these skills, building considered media relations plans, drafting messaging and pitch angles as well as selling to media with a focus on delivering outcomes for your clients.
  • Have a passion for storytelling, be proficient in building campaigns that employ creative tactics along with traditional media and digital/social media strategies, have strong writing capabilities and be a creative thinker who isn't afraid to share ideas and opinions.
  • Basic proficiency with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) and curiosity about how AI can support and enhance modern communication practices.
