Informatics Technical Specialist (ITS) Brazil

The ITS Brazil (Informatics Technical Specialist) is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the end-to-end design, integration, configuration, and optimisation of complex clinical laboratory automation and informatics solutions. This role acts as the primary informatics authority in Brazil, bridging laboratory operations, automation, middleware, IT systems, and data-driven service intelligence. The ITS will lead the integration of automation hardware, diagnostic instruments, middleware, and LIS environments, while serving as the country-level escalation point for advanced informatics issues. In addition to hands-on technical delivery, this role plays a strategic role in enabling connectivity, analytics, and applied AI solutions to drive measurable value for customers and internal service teams.

This position reports to the Service Manager Brazil and is part of the Customer Service Organization Brazil located in São Paulo - Brazil and will be an on-site role and working remotely to cover Brazil.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, configure, and integrate end-to-end clinical laboratory automation solutions, including middleware, interfaces, and LIS connectivity, based on detailed workflow analysis;
• Act as the highest-level informatics escalation point in Brazil, independently resolving complex software, connectivity, and integration issues;
• Configure automation logic, middleware, and database connections while working directly with customer IT teams at peer level;
• Drive adoption of Beckman Coulter IT, connectivity, and AI-enabled tools to enable data-driven insights and service optimisation;
• Provide technical guidance, hands-on support, and training to Field Service Engineers, Instrument and Connectivity Associates, and customers to ensure long-term system success.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in laboratory informatics, automation, middleware, or complex IT system integration within healthcare, diagnostics, or a related regulated environment;
• Strong hands-on experience with middleware solutions, system integration, workflow configuration, and advanced troubleshooting;
• Practical exposure to programming or scripting languages and database concepts, with the ability to understand and configure logic, rules, and data flows;
• Experience working directly with customer IT teams and global stakeholders;
• Advanced proficiency/fluency in English.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, Brazil and internationally.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Prior experience with applied AI, analytics, or service intelligence solutions;
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Collaborative profile with the ability to influence without authority.
