Customer Service Representative

Attention Customer Service Reps - HEALTHCARE - Danbury Hospital is seeking a strong healthcare professional (preferably) with at least three years experience to schedule, register and greet patients in our Radiology Department. This is a full time 40 hour position. Mon - Fri between 7:30am-6:00pm, occasional Saturday and evening to cover PTO. Competitive pay, perks and benefits. Summary: Customer Service Representative schedules, registers and receives patients according to established policies and procedures, in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules radiological exams in Soarian scheduling system according to established policies and procedures.
  • Registers patients in Invision, obtaining accurate demographic and financial information.
  • Verifies insurance benefits, scripts, pre-certification and authorization for services as necessary.
  • Performs reception and patient check-in functions, according to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures work area is clean and well stocked, and office equipment is functioning properly.
  • Projects a positive and professional image exceeding Danbury Hospital behavioral competencies and department standards.
  • Adheres to Department standards for Service Excellence.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Other Information: Required: Alpha/numeric data entry required. Knowledge of computer systems. Minimum Experience: three years Desired: Invision, Cerner, Soarian, Document Imaging, PACS and Stentor systems. Knowledge of radiology exams, insurance.

Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
