As a member of the Commercial Lines Team, the Account Manager will provide advice and assistance to agency clients on commercial line products. This role is pivotal in managing an assigned book of business, supporting clients, and collaborating with account executives. Responsibilities include managing an assigned book of business, assisting agency clients with all commercial insurance products and services, supporting account executives by delivering detailed quotes from various markets, completing new applications, renewals, and supplemental questionnaires, developing and rounding out accounts; submitting appropriate monthly reports, following up with insurance companies on adverse decisions, adhering to the pre-renewal customer contact program, responding to all inquiries in a timely and professional fashion, resolving RMV issues and acquiring a working knowledge of procedures and processes, maintaining adequate records and documentation, and participating in special projects as necessary.
Essential skills include being licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance, having experience in insurance, account management, commercial insurance, property & casualty, and a strong track record of developing and nurturing client and company relationships. High-level account management skills for commercial lines insurance agency and experience dealing with large accounts/customers across multiple states are also required.
Additional skills and qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, three years of relevant experience, effective communication skills both oral and written, the ability to make sound decisions, working knowledge of Sagitta and other desktop applications, and being self-motivated and action-oriented.
The position offers an opportunity to join a growing insurance agency with potential for career growth. The role operates from 8am to 4:30pm, with an early close at 3pm on Fridays. Candidates can be located in Hartford, Worcester, Boston, Springfield, or Great Barrington.
This is a permanent position based out of Hartford, CT. The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Benefits include United Healthcare - 82% of premium paid (single), group life at no cost, commission sharing agreement accounts brought in 50% commission, 401k, federal holidays off, vacation can typically match 5 week max 5 paid sick days, close at 3pm every Friday. This is a hybrid position in Hartford, CT.
