Major Client Group (MCG) is a key segment within CBA's Business Banking division, supporting over 2,000 large businesses with complex banking needs. The MCG Chief Operating Office (COO) team enables our frontline teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes by coordinating strategic initiatives, communications, and operational support.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the Major Client Group (MCG) by providing broad operational support across national initiatives, while also assisting with the coordination of high-profile client events. You'll work closely with the MCG COO team to ensure smooth execution of internal communications, team operations, and event logistics.
Your Impact: You'll be a key support to a dynamic team, helping to maintain continuity and momentum across a busy calendar of strategic activities. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and bring a proactive, collaborative mindset will be critical to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the MCG COO team with operational tasks such as internal communications, calendar coordination, and tracking of key projects and deliverables.
- Assist with logistics for major client-facing events including the Australian Open, Formula 1, and Melbourne Cup. This includes managing RSVPs, coordinating guest communications, liaising with venues and suppliers, and supporting on-site execution. Flexibility to travel may be required.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail across administrative activities including documentation, reporting, and compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coverage and continuity across projects and events.
- Contribute to post-event reviews by gathering feedback, analysing outcomes, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide general support across national offsites and internal initiatives, stepping in to assist with ad hoc requests and operational gaps as needed.

- Demonstrated experience in administration, including event and travel coordination, document preparation, and stakeholder or client liaison.
- A background in banking, financial services, in client-facing roles, with a clear understanding of business priorities.
- A proactive, can-do mindset ready to take initiative and adapt to shifting needs.
- Sharp organisational skills and attention to detail across logistics, communications, and documentation.
- Strong relationship management and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and external clients.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for key national events.
