Advertising Sales Account Executive

Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels.

Job Summary

Responsible for prospecting and selling to key agencies and key clients who focus their efforts on selling products and services through the purchase of advertising. As a seasoned member of the sales team, may be assigned to provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Account Executives. Consistently meets all goals and objectives in a timely and organized manner. Must be available for extended hours as needed and be willing to travel overnight as needed. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develops, services and maintains a base of clients and/or agencies who purchase advertising space or other media services to achieve established annual sales goals within assigned sales team.
  • Analyzes, develops and presents market research and advertising proposals to support client activities and products. Works with various marketing and sales personnel to coordinate important data and materials for presentations.
  • Interacts with various internal departments to carry out client requirements such as scheduling advertising, monitoring account activities and monitoring and managing collections.
  • Participates in National Ad Sales events as required (i.e. conferences, workshops, meetings etc.).
  • Sets the tone and pace for the National Ad Sales Account Executive team.
  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals and objectives.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $149,200.32 - $223,800.48 Targeted Commission: $189,000.00 Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus. Additionally, Comcast provides best-in-class Benefits to eligible employees.

Education

Bachelor's Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
