Technical Account Manager

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, managing cloud implementations or transformation programs that support launch or capacity planning, product release management, technical support, escalation management, or consulting.
- Ability to obtain a Google Cloud professional-level certification within 120 days of hire and hold at least one Google Cloud professional-level certifications while in the role.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Ability to travel 30% of the time as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.
- Experience communicating complex concepts and influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders at varying levels within an organization.
- Experience working directly with modern software development practices, microservices-based architectures, distributed systems, and APIs across a broad set of use-cases.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and client management skills.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
About the job: As a Technical Account Manager, you'll drive product adoption, provide proactive problem avoidance, and recommend leading practices that help our most strategic customers accelerate digital transformations, secure cloud infrastructure, and scale cloud capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical activities across multiple work streams with key stakeholders and/or delivery partners that focus on cloud architectural advisory, operational excellence, and compliance.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams as a customer advocate focused on new products, features, and bug fixes that benefit government and education customers.
- Partner with support, product engineering, and site reliability engineering teams to plan for customer events and launches, and work with customers and the support team to guide issues/escalations to resolution.
- Manage stakeholder relationships as a trusted technical advisor, lead quarterly reviews, host executive sessions, and develop tactical plans that foster successful technical outcomes.
