JBSA IT Support Specialist

Core4ce is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled JBSA IT Support Specialist to join our team of innovators, self-starters, and critical thinkers at the DHA - Fort Sam Houston location. Your responsibilities will include providing first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems. You will be expected to resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and resolving various issues/requests for peripheral devices

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment
• Ensuring that Government assets are maintained responsibly.
• Creating and maintaining good technical documentation to assist with the quick resolution of future problems
• Ensure all IT policies and procedures are up to date and properly followed.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification within 90 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or education in IT are highly desirable
• At least 1 -2 years of professional experience in information technology or a directly related field.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, servers, and networking equipment
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving software issues
• Familiarity with the principles of IT security
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common desktop applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience working in a military or defense-related environment is a plus
