Senior Project Coordinator II

Our GSS Business Operations team is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator II to support our team 100% onsite at one of our Raytheon facilities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Colorado, Texas, or Arizona.

The role of the Project Coordinator is to assist the GSS in establishing the Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) Operating System cadence to drive systemic alignment and focus of all improvement initiatives to maximize operations and delivery. The Project Coordinator is the primary facilitator of the annual CORE cycle. The annual CORE cycle includes:

  • Goal Alignment - The Domain team aligns Domain goals to Business unit/Functional organization goals.
  • Goal Flow Down - The Domain assigns goal improvement projects to appropriate people within the Domain, linking Domain Improvement Targets with individual executable actions and targeted improvement projects.
  • Execution - The Domain leadership and goal improvement project owners apply appropriate lean/six sigma tools to improve Domain processes that provide customer value.
  • Progress Reviews - The Domain monitors progress of goal improvement projects.
  • Learning and Adjustment - The Domain team performs annual learning and adjustment reflection on Domain performance.
  • Standardization and Improvement Culture - The Domain Focal participates in cross-domain reviews to share progress and best practices to enable organization continuous improvement through CORE practices.
  • Domain Configuration - Only when needed for a newly formed or restructured Domain, gather and collect baseline Domain data and information to prepare and facilitate CORE Implementation within the Domain.

What You Will Do:

  • Implement improvement methods and tools into functional operations
  • Coach and mentor employees to achieve CORE certifications
  • Lead assessments of the organization's maturity and development of improvement plans
  • Using statistical data analysis, help to identify areas for improvement
  • Facilitates workshops with cross-functional teams and management to drive initiatives and present progress and project outcomes
  • Enable goal alignment by coordinating and advancing initiatives designed to improve the organization's performance and delivery
  • Create reports on project performance and present recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator or Project Manager.
  • Experience as a Team Lead

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects that deliver customer value and business performance is desired.
  • Experience developing people talent, specifically, coaching lean management methods at a Leadership/Management level is preferred.
  • Experience in or working with defense security organizations.
  • Certification in lean/six sigma methods at a CORE Professional level (green belt) is desired.
  • Certification in lean/six sigma methods at a CORE Expert level (black belt) is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
