The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales while ensuring customer satisfaction by utilizing expertise to recommend product, hardware, and software solutions. This role is the critical point of contact in providing best-in-class customer support in alignment with the Flywheel Data mission.
• Drive sales
Market a portfolio of products
Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, research, cold-calling, and other proven means
Qualify business opportunities by conducting due diligence and leveraging relationships to understand the customer landscape
Collaborate with Vice President of Sales to implement sales strategies
Present technical options by matching customer requirements to product capabilities and solutions
Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of products
Shepard business opportunities through the full lifecycle from opportunity identification to purchase order to renewal
• Maintain and build customer and partner relationships
Attend networking events
Create positive customer experiences to achieve long-term partnerships
Respond to customer inquiries and provide support offering clear advice and solutions
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure customer's needs are met in entirety
• Ensure customer solutions are current and market-competitive
Maintain partner sales certifications as required
Attend vendor and trade shows
Research latest IT products and solutions
Communicate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to translate customer specifications
• Maintain records in CRM to ensure opportunities are documented
Track contract updates and renewals
Coordinate writing quotes, reports, and supporting documentation
Provide periodic reports on sales activity, goals, and forecasts to VP
Analyze customer data to identify trends and recommend strategies
• Ensure compliance with the company's government contracting procedures and ethics programs
• Other duties as assigned
What this position takes:
• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, technology, business administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 1 year experience in technology sales or value-added reseller industry
• U.S. citizenship
• Federal Government Secret Security Clearance
• Experience using MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and increasing market share
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Understanding of US Federal Government procurement
• Understanding of Federal System Integrator landscape as it relates to IT requirements
• Adherence to the highest ethical standards
• Ability to work effectively remotely with minimal direct supervision
