Clark Builders is looking for an enthusiastic Project Coordinator Co-op Student to assist with the Vernon Active Living Center in Vernon, BC. This role will support the Project Manager(s) and Superintendent(s) in the quality control and scheduling of the construction process including implementation of QAQC programs/activities, organizing and participating in schedule planning sessions and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. This will be an 8-month work term starting January 2026.

Reports to: Sr. Project Manager

Pay range: $23-$25 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the project team to implement site specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures
• Monitor and report Quality non-compliance; take corrective and preventive action and make recommendations to meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Witness of subcontractors testing/inspections
• Assist in coordinating 3rd party and consultant testing/inspections
• Project closeout responsibilities including assisting with inspections, owner training, managing the O&M Manuals, reviewing, tracking and communicating punch and deficiency lists
• Document control responsibilities including Request for Information (RFI) & Submittals
• Facilitate, record and compile meeting minutes; follow up on action items
• Assist in planning and scheduling meetings with consultant and trade partners
• Adhere to Clark Builders' policies and procedures and aid others in compliance
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with industry associations, client representatives, regulators, consultant partners, and trade partners

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Analytical thinker with ability to interpret complex information and recommend innovative solutions
• Enjoys working in a team environment, performing deadline-driven tasks to resolve project challenges of varying complexity
• Understanding the principles of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement
• The ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelors' degree, diploma or 2-year certificate in a construction related discipline
• Experience working as a Project Coordinator for a Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional Construction organization previously is an asset
• Experience with Procore® is an asset
• Ability to travel to and from project site in Vernon, BC on a daily basis
