Project: SFPUC Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Lifecycle Management Project
Location: 1980 Oakdale Avenue, San Francisco
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Under general direction, the Senior Water Service Inspector is responsible for interpreting, enforcing, and carrying out existing methods, procedures, rules and regulations pertaining to customer water services, water quality concerns and applicable water conservation programs; making regular contacts with the general public, property owners, tenants, building contractors and other building construction representatives for furnishing or obtaining information and explaining specialized matters pertaining to water services; and preparing and maintaining regular operating records pertaining to water services.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
The Senior Water Service Inspector works under direct supervision of the AMI Operations Manager. The 7317 Senior Water Service Inspector is distinguished from the 7316 Water Service Inspector by the fact that they inspect the more difficult and complex complaints as well as have the responsibility of supervising the Water Service Inspectors.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
The Senior Water Service Inspector supervises the 7316 Water Service Inspectors and other subordinate staff.
EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Qualifications:
1. Two (2) years of experience in various phases of utility service field investigations. (Qualifying experience should be equivalent to the duties and responsibilities of a 7316 Water Service Inspector); AND
2. Possession of a current valid Class C driver's license.
Note: One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.)
