Statutory Reporting System Implementation Specialist
The Statutory Reporting team operates as an independent group of subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting within the Finance Division. The wider team's core responsibilities encompass the preparation of audited financial statements and providing comprehensive support to financial reporting and control teams across EMEA in the compilation of their respective financial statements. These statements are prepared in adherence to IFRS, UK GAAP, or relevant local GAAP standards. Collaborating closely with other critical Finance functions—including Regulatory Reporting, Tax, and Product Control—the Statutory Reporting team ensures that individual entity results accurately reflect the group's overall activities. Additionally, the team provides specialized support for one-off transactions and complex accounting issues across various departments.
Within this framework, the successful candidate will join a diverse and supportive sub-team. The primary focus of this role will be to provide essential support for the development and implementation project aimed at migrating financial reports to our digital Workiva solution.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the overall project objectives of a small team responsible for implementing Workiva, our digital solution for financial statement preparation, across selected Citi legal entities
- Become an SME on Workiva software capabilities and customization to specific needs of the given entities
- Participate in the development and implementation project of migrating CSC owned financial statements to Workiva
- Advise and provide expertise to country finance teams on best practice solutions
Ideal background:
- University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial auditing (internal or external) or financial reporting and accounting or controlling
- IFRS experience, familiarity with UK GAAP is an advantage
- Prior experience with preparation of financial statements and supporting external audit is an advantage
- IT affinity
- Workiva platform experience is an advantage
- Experience with structured data manipulation or scripting logic is highly desirable
- Proactive work ethic, with strong capabilities in time and issue management
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Planning and organizational skills, able to prioritize work
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
