Job Overview

The Reference Data Services Analyst 2 is a developing professional role responsible for applying specialized knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data within their specialty area. This role involves identifying policy gaps, formulating recommendations, interpreting factual information, and defining business issues to propose improvements to policies, procedures, or practices. The individual will integrate established disciplinary knowledge with an understanding of related industry practices and develop a working knowledge of industry standards. This position has a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of tasks and services provided, with influence primarily within their own team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and contribute to the creation and maintenance of customer accounts, security, and pricing data across multiple systems and teams.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality and client service levels.
  • Act as a backup for the manager as needed.
  • Offer direction and guidance to the team, including evaluating performance, making recommendations, and identifying training requirements.
  • Manage and deliver project initiatives successfully, and supervise junior staff to ensure their tasks contribute effectively to project completion.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, exercising sound ethical judgment in personal and business conduct, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in client/counterparty/account data management within a global financial services organization.
  • Good awareness of client needs and expectations.
  • Possession of financial services-related qualifications (e.g., IAQ or similar) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
