Underwriter Operations Technician – Outwards

In this position, you will manage a diverse portfolio, collaborate with brokers and network partners, and ensure seamless program maintenance and premium booking. Key responsibilities:

• Communicate and build relationships with Underwriters, overseas offices, and other Chubb staff, functioning as a trusted advisor and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Manage workloads in accordance with Service Level Agreements, showcasing time management and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards.
• Ensure multinational workbooks are prepared, maintained, and completed in accordance with the Global Services Department standards, demonstrating attention to detail and operational excellence.
• Assist with ongoing projects identified throughout the year for improvements to the Global Services Department, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform incidental work that may be required outside the scope of day-to-day work requirements, adapting to changing environments and priorities.

Qualifications

• Professional language skills in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Any additional European language (Dutch/German/French/Italian/Swedish/Danish) being a plus.
• Previous experience in an underwriting support role is a plus.
• Insurance background is preferred.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong customer service skills and a customer-centric attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to deliver and improve quality.
• Problem resolution and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.
