Provide day-to-day operational support for institutional clients trading listed derivatives. Perform post-trade activities, support the trade life cycle, and act as a key point of contact for client operational queries, while also coordinating with internal teams to ensure a high level of service delivery. Serve as the primary operational contact for clients regarding listed derivatives activity, including trade allocations, position management, reporting, commission queries, and regulatory matters. Monitor and support all trade life cycle events, including allocations, trade breaks, transfers, expiries, and delivery coordination, ensuring timely resolution and client communication. Coordinate with internal teams to process give-ins, position transfers, and delivery events, ensuring procedures and approvals are properly followed. Analyze and resolve post-trade exceptions and trade breaks, escalating to relevant teams where appropriate. Maintain accurate client static data across clearing systems to enable straight-through processing and reduce operational risk. Partner with the deliveries team and senior operations staff to manage upcoming expiries, ensuring client intentions are captured and fulfilled. Assist in client onboarding by introducing support structures, setting expectations, and coordinating initial setup steps. Collaborate with clients on process improvements and automation opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency and client experience. Respond to ad hoc client requests and inquiries in a timely, professional manner. Support the development of team workflows and ensure consistent service quality across clients. Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices, providing coaching on client service delivery and trade operations. May provide input into performance feedback in collaboration with department leadership. When not telecommuting, must report to 425 S. Financial Place, Chicago, IL 60605. Salary: $221,312-275,000 per year.
Minimum requirements: Bachelors Degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Client Services Officer, Clearing Operations Analyst or any occupation/job title/position in the futures and options listed derivatives industry. Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience working with futures and options, trade lifecycle, clearing, and settlement processes; 5 years of professional experience monitoring expiries, deliveries, and position transfers for physically and cash-settled products, investigating and resolving trade discrepancies, breaks, and operational challenges; 5 years of professional experience utilizing trading platforms, clearing systems, and order management systems (including CME ClearPort, ICE Link, ICE FEC, OCC Encore, SOLA, CME FEC, GMI, and Bloomberg); and 2 years of professional experience in a client facing, client service role covering futures and options, trade life cycle clearing and settlement process.
