CBIZ's NetSuite & Technology Transformation (NTT) Team are looking for an experienced NetSuite Implementation Manager with deep subject matter expertise in the construction industry to lead NetSuite ERP deployments and enhancements for construction-focused clients. This role requires both strong NetSuite functional skills and a thorough understanding of construction business processes, including job costing, subcontractor management, project accounting, and WIP reporting.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, detail-oriented implementer, and effective communicator who can translate complex construction workflows into scalable NetSuite solutions.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Lead and manage full-cycle NetSuite ERP implementations for clients in the construction sector, from discovery through post-go-live support.
- Work closely with construction industry clients to gather and document business requirements, map processes, and identify system gaps.
- Design and configure NetSuite modules such as Job Costing, Project Management, Financials (GL, AP, AR), Procurement, Inventory, and Time Tracking to meet industry-specific needs.
- Translate construction-specific requirements (e.g., retainage, progress billing, AIA invoicing, union payroll integration) into NetSuite solutions.
- Collaborate with technical consultants to define and oversee system integrations, data migrations, customizations, and workflow automation.
- Deliver client training, support user adoption, and develop system documentation and best practices tailored to construction operations.
- Troubleshoot post-implementation issues, continuously optimize solutions, and recommend enhancements.
- Stay informed on NetSuite releases, industry developments, and best practices in construction ERP implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of NetSuite implementation experience, including at least 5+ years focused on construction or project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting and operations (e.g., job cost reporting, subcontractor compliance, progress billing) is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead ERP implementations, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Familiarity with project lifecycles and industry compliance requirements (e.g., lien waivers, certified payroll, WIP schedules).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, SuiteCloud Developer, etc.).
- Prior experience working with or integrating construction-specific software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, Sage 300 CRE).
- Experience in consulting environments or NetSuite Alliance Partners.
- Understanding of change management and user adoption strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6 years of experience in related field
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Must have and preserve required licenses
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $132,550 - $198,550. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position. The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
