Role Definition

Assists NSI Leads with the management of complex projects within the LPSD Engine Components and Thermal Systems involving multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project plans through MS Project office.
• Understand and mentor teams in PM processes, templates and best practices
• Analyse plan data to identify potential roadblocks or risks
• Evaluate project risks and prepare the mitigation plan
• Communicate plan status to multiple levels of management
• Facilitate planning sessions required to compress data
• Be proficient in MS Office Suite of tools, including MS Project
• Good communication skills – spoken & written

Degree Requirement: Degree or equivalent experience desired. Preferred to have a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Tier 1 university/college.

Program / Project Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.

Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

Background/Experience

• The position requires an engineering or manufacturing background plus well versed with the MS Project, good knowledge about engine components and systems is highly desirable.
• The position requires a bachelor's degree – or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering. In addition, three to five years of job-related experience are required.
• Good human relation/communication skills to develop a cooperative working relationships with others inside of Caterpillar.

Additional information: This job requires working onsite five days from office. Relocation is available for this position.
