Project Coordinator, Quality Program Management And Performance

The Project Coordinator, Quality Program Management and Performance provides administrative support for the implementation of new and existing healthcare quality improvement activities. Coordination activities include projects, programs, and/or initiatives which ensure Health Plan quality programs meet regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates quality program activities in compliance with state (and federal and NCQA requirements) at the direction of leadership.
  • Supports key quality activities to be completed on time and accurately as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the drafting of narrative reports which includes interpretation of basic regulatory specifications, programs and results of programs, and aids in the documentation of findings and limitations of department interventions.
  • Creates and/or compiles the required documentation to maintain critical quality improvement functions.
  • Surfaces to the Manager and/or Director any gaps in processes that may require remediation.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely and tailors messaging to various audiences.
  • Demonstrates flexibility when it comes to changes and maintains a positive outlook.
  • Performs other tasks, duties, projects, and programs as assigned.
  • This position may require same-day out-of-office travel approximately 0 - 50% of the time, depending on the location.
  • This position may require multiple days out of town or overnight travel approximately 0 - 20% of the time, depending upon location.

Job Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare with experience in health plan quality improvement, managed care
  • Demonstrated solid business writing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in health plan quality management
