Account Coordinator
Account Services Reports to: Account Supervisor
Job Summary The Account Coordinator is the entry-level Account Services department position at Calcium and is responsible for providing support to the account team in brand and client management. This person demonstrates core business skills that are necessary in advertising account management, such as strong written and verbal skills, active engagement, strong follow-up, and financial coordination and support. The Account Coordinator is responsible for tracking the consistent monitoring of active projects while expanding their understanding of the agency's role in the larger brand marketing experience.
Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
- Responsible for providing support to the account team in brand and client management
- Supports account team on daily workflow of projects and possesses a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Responsible for drafting all meeting notes to the team on client decisions and updates
- Observes/participates in face-to-face client meetings and captures key discussion points, agreements, and next steps in a meeting/call report
- Updates weekly client status reports
- Participates in the development of statements-of-work and supports estimate development with PM
- Tracks budget regularly and works with supervisors to provide monthly forecasts
- Participates in weekly financial meetings and works with supervisors to learn the financial process
- Takes responsibility for tracking the consistent monitoring of active projects while expanding their understanding of the agency's role in the larger brand marketing experience
- Demonstrates a preliminary understanding of the product, scientific data, strategies, and marketplace
Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in the advertising industry
- At least 6 months of Account Coordinator experience in an agency setting is required
- Basic understanding of the development of the project brief and internal workflow process
- Ability to draft all meeting notes to the team on client decisions and updates in a timely and succinct manner
- Ability to track budgets regularly and work with supervisors to provide monthly forecasts
- Can mindfully manage deadlines, multiple tasks, and challenges
- Collaborative and seeks to solve problems
- Strong professional presence—possesses positive, inspirational qualities that motivate internal team and evoke ease and confidence in clients
- Ability to travel (locally) up to 25% of the time
