Technical Sales Specialist

Job Description

The Technical Sales Specialist will participate in all phases of the sales process – including customer needs assessments, price calculations, quoting, order registration, and follow-up in the ERP system. This will involve working closely with the company's regional sales representatives and local global agents, as well as directly supporting our customers. In addition, the Technical Sales Specialist will be involved in sales tasks alongside our Global Inside Sales Team Members in Germany and USA.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment specification, materials, and labor costs, to ensure profitable sell prices
  • Prepare quotations and technical order clarification for customers and sales team
  • Support regional sales representatives with customer requirements analysis and product recommendations
  • Provide technical order clarification and product expertise, collaborating with Engineering team to specify standard and custom equipment and quote the equipment accordingly
  • Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of the Afinitas product line
  • Manage orders in ERP system, including registration, follow-up, and Engineering handoff
  • Provide sales support to Inside Sales teams from other Afinitas locations

Qualifications

  • Ideally higher level education or degree in Engineering, Data, or similar
  • Sales Engineer, Quotation Specialist, Technical Sales, or technical background with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to read engineering drawings is recommended
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills are required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experienced in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activities
  • Good Danish and English language skills in writing and speaking – German is a plus
