About The Role:

Our Commercial team is now looking for an Account Manager who can forge strong business relationships with key stakeholders and help drive our success across the Blenheim, Marlborough & Kaikōura region. As we continue to grow and invest in our Commercial offering, now has never been a better time to progress your career within Bunnings.

This unique Account Management role is focused on an existing portfolio across Trades, Organisations and Builders, whilst having the opportunity to grow through identifying new business and re-engaging previous customrs. To be successful in this role, you can expect to personally develop strategies and plans to target growth opportunities, establish new relationships and strengthen existing ones. You will have strong industry knowledge and confidence in cold calling and client visits. While the ability to read building plans is not essential, it would be beneficial.

With an established and varied customer base within Residential Builders, Trades and local Businesses (Organisations), plus significant opportunities to expand market share, this role offers the chance to build lasting relationships and drive growth across the Blenheim region. You'll play a key part in shaping strategies, delivering exceptional service, and driving a sales portfolio that reflects your success.

In this role, you will drive and execute the strategic sales plans of Bunnings through the use of your expertise and knowledge of our extensive range of products and services. You will work collaboratively with other members of the Bunnings team, ensuring our customers are provided with the very best Price, Range and Service.

You can expect to work closely with our Bunnings Warehouse in Blenheim, as well as our Commercial Services team across New Zealand.

Who We're Looking For:

This role offers you the opportunity to join a high‑performing, friendly team. Reporting directly to the Area Business Sales Manager – Trade in the South Island, you are a knowledgeable and experienced sales professional who can confidently engage in supporting and converting new business opportunities, ensuring our customers receive the most appropriate, value‑added solutions to suit their business needs.

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and exceed KPIs and Gross Profit budgeted sales across our channel
  • Sell products and/or solutions targeting the customer's "whole of build"
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally to grow our market share and identify opportunities for new business
  • Develop and execute strategies to address local opportunities and combat competitor activities
  • Develop, implement and manage a budget aligned to company expectations
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Bunnings network to ensure our Trade customers receive the very best Price, Range and Service
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
