Brevium

A software solution designed to help medical practices reduce patient attrition by identifying and re-engaging lost patients.

Account Executive - Ophthalmology

Primary Location: American Fork, UT or field based. If you are in Utah, we want you in office. Otherwise, you would work out of home office, with occasional trips to headquarters.

About Brevium: Bring lost patients back! Brevium is a tight-knit, rapidly growing healthcare technology company revolutionizing patient care by helping practices reactivate lost patients and improve health outcomes. Our innovative patient reactivation solutions (the first of their kind) have been trusted by practices nationwide for 20 years, and we're continuing to innovate and expand every year. If you're ready to join a team that values integrity, innovation, and meaningful impact, we want to hear from you!

About the Job

We are seeking a self-starter and trailblazing Account Executive with a deep understanding of primary care business models, motivations, and challenges. You will leverage your knowledge of the healthcare industry to source and close new business opportunities, driving growth within single-specialty ophthalmology practices. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on launching innovative initiatives and creating lasting impact.

As a full-cycle salesperson, you'll have access to prospecting support through our SDR team, however we expect AEs to manage all stages of the sales process. You'll prospect through outbound outreach, tradeshows, inbound leads, and referrals, using an account-based selling approach to target practices that align with our ideal customer profile. From research to demos and follow-ups, you'll take ownership of the entire process, showcasing Brevium's value and converting prospects into loyal customers.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and Close: Identify and secure new accounts within single-specialty ophthalmology practices.
  • Leverage Expertise: Apply your deep knowledge of ophthalmology and healthcare to consultatively address client challenges and motivations.
  • Launch Initiatives: Design and execute innovative strategies to expand Brevium's presence in the ophthalmology market.
  • Conduct Demos: Lead online and occasional in-person demonstrations, providing compelling insights into Brevium's economic and clinical impact.
  • Build Relationships: Develop trust and rapport with decision-makers, establishing Brevium as a trusted partner.
  • Full-Cycle Sales: Own the process from outreach to close, maintaining detailed records in Salesforce to track progress and results. Average sales cycle length is 6 months.

Applicant Profile

We're looking for motivated, persuasive sales professionals with expertise in the healthcare industry and a consultative approach to selling. You should have a passion for tackling the unique challenges of primary care practices and a track record of launching successful initiatives.

What You Bring:

  • Healthcare Knowledge: At least 2+ years of sales experience in healthcare.
  • Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive sales efforts proactively.
  • Trailblazer Mentality: A history of breaking new ground and driving innovation.
  • Ophthalmology Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of ophthalmology practice operations, challenges, and motivators preferred.
  • Consultative Selling Skills: Ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and drive value-based sales conversations.
  • Detail-Oriented Approach: Proficient with CRM tools like Salesforce and skilled in tracking and analyzing data.
  • Bachelor's degree (any major).
  • Proficiency with AI. Familiarity with Salesforce is a bonus.

Other Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 30% for road trips and tradeshows. Expect 10+ tradeshows annually, typically 3-4 days each, usually over a weekend.
  • Arrange your own travel and expenses.
  • Represent Brevium at industry events and maintain a professional appearance.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: Base salary of $70,000 - $100,000 plus commission. Typical earnings: $30K–$40K commission in the first year, $60K–$80K in year two. You'll ramp into a quota over six months and have the opportunity for bonuses and pay increases tied to milestones, in addition to other bonuses for retention or other specific company goals.
  • Rewards: In 2025, top AEs earned a $10,000 trip of a lifetime, with similar rewards planned for 2026.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and disability insurance—better than many large companies.
  • Flexible "get your work done" vacation policy.
  • On-site work culture: We value collaboration and camaraderie. If you're in Utah, we'd like you in office, but we are also open to a rep in the field.

Apply Today! If you are a self-starter and trailblazer with deep knowledge of ophthalmology and healthcare, and ready to take ownership of your sales career while making a real difference in the lives of patients and providers, we'd love to hear from you. Join Brevium and help us transform the patient appointment lifecycle!
